Bandai Namco Entertainment is giving gamers the opportunity to try "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" prior to its official launch through a couple of PlayStation 4 beta tests scheduled next month.

The company has announced that the closed beta will begin on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 4 a.m. ET (1 a.m. PT or 10 a.m. CEST) and ends Monday, Oct. 10 at the same aforementioned time. The closed beta is exclusive to those who pre-ordered the digital version of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" from the PlayStation Store.

Those who already got that requirement covered can access the closed beta version on Friday, Oct. 7. The codes needed to download the client will be given by Bandai Namco.

On the other hand, an open beta for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" where everyone can take part kicks off on Friday, Oct. 14 at 4 a.m. ET (1 a.m. PT or 10 a.m. CEST) and concludes Monday, Oct. 17 at the same hour as the first day ends.

Participants of this beta will be guaranteed a special item that will be usable in the full version of the game. There's no information yet on the extent of the content that players will have access to in the beta as far as characters and locations.

There are tons of fighters included in the roster of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." Techno Buffalo says that Bandai Namco made sure to include as much content as it can from various forms of the franchise.

This led to the inclusion of Janemba and Gojita, the rivals in "Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn," the twelfth film in the "Dragon Ball Z" series. The characters are shown in action in a bunch of screenshots from the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2."

Other characters include Bardock, Cell in one of his early forms, and the much-loved Android 16. A gameplay trailer also showcased customized Saiyan and Majin players and what a fight between custom fighters will look like in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2."

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be released on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 25.
