Fans of the popular Japanese anime "Dragon Ball Super" should be excited that the show will be returning after taking a break due to the holidays. This means that fans should be expecting some sort of curve ball incident that may occur in the next episode, because that is exactly what they will be getting this week. The stills that were released on Twitter hint that something different could potentially happen in the Tournament of Power.

In the tweet that was released through the official "Dragon Ball Super" page, a still of Arack, the God of Destruction from Universe 5, along with his Kaioshin and Angel, is shown to have crashed the Universe 7 bleachers where Goku's close friends are situated. In the image, Krillin and Tien seem shocked that Arack is sitting behind them, leaving everyone in the image with confused looks.

However, the question that fans are really asking is: What does this mean for the Tournament of Power? Numerous speculations are going around, especially since the showrunners have hinted in the past that Universe 7 will be gaining a new ally.

Universe 5 has already been eliminated from the tournament, and the characters have not shown any positive signs that they may be even close to defeating Jiren of Universe 11 -- who is the strongest foe Goku, and the rest of the gang has ever encountered. It is safe to assume that Arack's presence will have an important function as the plot of the series moves forward. It is simply a matter of figuring out just how Arack can help Universe 7 at this point.

From the promotions that are being released recently, it seems that Vegeta will end up in a very difficult position, as the Universe 7 team goes against Jiren, Toppo, and Dyspo. It is still apparent that despite outnumbering their opponents, Universe 7 still does not have a chance of winning. Fans will have to wait and see how Goku and the rest will manage, as the Tournament of Power nears its conclusion.

"Dragon Ball Super" airs on Sunday, Jan. 7, at 8:15 p.m. EST on Fuji TV.
