'Dragon Ball Super' episode 61 air date, spoilers: Heroes make last ditch effort to stop Zamasu and Goku Black

The truth about Goku Black's creation has been uncovered, but not everything is crystal clear yet. In "Dragon Ball Super" episode 61, fans expect to learn more about Son Goku's evil doppelganger.

It has been revealed that Goku Black was made through the Super Dragon Balls. Zamasu wished him to existence by putting his mind and soul on that "other" Goku.

It is unclear at the moment which version of Zamasu is inside Goku Black. More importantly, it is yet to be revealed who that "other" Goku was. Fans hope that this will change in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 61.

What is currently known about this mystery Goku is that he was killed by Goku Black with ease. It is, however, believed that this "other" Goku is from Future Trunks' timeline. However, until "Dragon Ball Super" episode 61 airs, fans will have to stick with speculating.

The stakes are higher in the next episode of the anime as Zamasu and Goku Black finally push through with the Zero Mortals Plan to get rid of every human in existence.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 61 appears to present the final chance of the heroes to stop the evil tandem, which will prove difficult, as per the synopsis, which reads: "Black Goku sees Goku and the others as the greatest obstacle in completing 'The 0 Humans Plan.' He turns into Super Saiyan Rose to eliminate them once and for all."

However, it looks like the fight will last a while, especially if the leaked information about episodes 62 and 63 of "Dragon Ball Super" is to be considered. The titles of these installments, as per the leak, are "Trunks' Super Power" and "Vegeta's Battle," respectively.

These suggest that the heroes might actually have the chance of winning and that they will be able to gain momentum in the upcoming "Dragon Ball Super" episodes. After all, both Future Trunks and Vegeta have been training to beat the enemies.

However, it will still be a tough challenge to surpass Zamasu and Goku Black, who are already strong as individuals and are even stronger when they join forces.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 61 will see the two combine their power, which might sound the knell for Goku and company and for every mortal there is.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 61 will air on Sunday, Oct. 9, on Fuji TV.
