The developers over at Bandai Namco have been consistently churning out some exciting news for the upcoming fighting game "Dragon Ball FighterZ." After surprising the fans with the confirmed launch date, Bandai Namco has shed some light regarding the downloadable content (DLC) season pass, which will add a significant amount of usable characters in the game for players to use.

In a report by Gamespot, the season pass titled "FighterZ Pass" will be released after the game has been launched next year. It will be priced at $35, and will grant players eight characters which they can use across the different game modes. Currently, Bandai Namco has yet to name the characters that will be included in the "FighterZ Pass," but it is unsurprising that they will be withholding this information to keep fans and players alike on their toes.

So far, 18 characters have already been confirmed by Bandai Namco to be included in the game. It is possible that fans may ask themselves if coughing up $35 more is worth it just to unlock eight characters after already purchasing the full game for an estimated $59.99. Comic Book has reported that even the Collector's Edition of "Dragon Ball FighterZ" is already quite pricey, it is still unclear on whether it will include the "FighterZ Pass" or not.

If the Collector's Edition of the game does not include the "FighterZ" pass, then fans would have to spend about $175 just to get both. In fact, despite the exciting news of the DLC pass, it did not stop fans from scrutinizing Bandai Namco for charging an extra amount of money instead of just including the eight characters in the vanilla version of the game.

Eager fans of the game should take note that if they pre-order the game, they will have early access to the Super Saiyan Blue versions of Vegeta and Goku, according to Mxdwn.com. Additionally, those players will also be granted access to the beta testing of the game and will get a slight taste of what they can expect upon the game's full launch.

"Dragon Ball FighterZ" will be released on Jan. 26 2018 on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
