Exciting news has arrived for fans of the Square Enix role-playing fantasy video game "Final Fantasy," since a brand-new trailer has been released for the upcoming "Dissidia Final Fantasy NT."

"Dissidia Final Fantasy NT" is the fighting game version of the long-running franchise. On top of that, the release of the trailer also includes the announcement via the official Twitter page of "Final Fantasy" for an open beta that will be running some time in January.

In the video trailer, it can be surmised that the main conflict in the game stems from a looming evil that the villains of the "Final Fantasy" franchise have concocted. Rifts can be seen throughout the trailer, with very vague descriptions of what these rifts do. However, it is heavily suggested that these rifts are the reason as to why over 30 characters, protagonists, and villains alike are able to interact with one another -- which is the main premise of the 3v3 brawler.

Reports reveal that "Dissidia Final Fantasy NT" will allow players to use all of the 30 plus characters, most of which stretch from all across the "Final Fantasy" video games. Just like the previous installment, "Dissidia Final Fantasy NT" will be featuring a team battle of three against three, which means that players will have a very wide array of in-game combinations by grouping together different heroes to suit their play styles.

Other reports share that the developers have also released a comprehensive flowchart that details one of the game's newest features -- the Super Summon Selector. This feature will allow players to summon the powerful legendary beasts that have been present in the past "Final Fantasy" games, and have been known by fans to unleash potentially devastating attacks that may quickly turn the tide of any battle.

"Dissidia Final Fantasy NT" will be available for open beta from Jan. 12 to Jan. 21, and the game will be realeased on Jan. 30 as a PlayStation 4-exclusive title.
