Faith in England showcases a selection of the week's best faith stories from across the BBC's 40 local radio stations.
Listeners have already heard Weymouth Christians intervening and diffusing a street fight between two women and toured a 900 year old church in Sheffield.
Diane, a former Blue Peter presenter, said she is delighted by the chance to feature some of the great tales and personalities who appear on BBC local radio stations' Sunday morning programmes.
"Everyone knows that England’s real colour and character is found in local communities," she says.
"Now, thanks to the genius of the internet, everyone can hear local stories that are often uplifting and inspiring – even if we don’t live around the corner!
"I am excited about presenting this new podcast which has worldwide appeal and accessibility, giving us all a chance to feel connected wherever we live."
The half hour podcast is available every Tuesday at 9am, for a week, and can be found via the BBC's Religion and Ethics website www.bbc.co.uk/religion
