'Deadpool' movie update: Ed Skrein and Tim Miller join cast, Ryan Reynolds says limited budget helps

Ever since that "Deadpool" footage leaked online, fans got so pumped with the superhero character. Due to the overwhelming response, it brought Ryan Reynolds and the team to finally make the movie.

Reynolds hasn't spoken about the film very much, but now that it is underway, he shared a couple of things behind the preparation for "Deadpool" and how he believes that this will be the movie they really want to make.

One of the main concerns is the limited budget of the movie, which came as a surprise as "Deadpool" is one of the well-loved characters from the comics.

"The budget isn't what we hoped it would be, this is actually the suit," Reynolds points to his red shirt, while talking to MTV News

He also noted the very long preparation for the movie.

"It's been a long time, but it's happened in the right way and that's all that matters. We don't have the kind of money that most superhero movies do, but that's great, actually. Necessity is the mother of invention, and that's why we get to make the movie we want to make," Reynolds explained. "You gotta have faith in the people you're working with, and have faith in the prep, and that's all I'm doing. On this one, the prep's been 11 years."

With his ever humorous self, Reynolds also took a jab at the leak that happened, but said that he was actually thankful for it and if he could've done the leak himself, he would do it "in a heartbeat." Then again, he is well aware of the legal implications of the act.

Elsewhere, there has been rumors about the other people joining Reynolds in "Deadpool." According to The Wrap, T.J. Miller will be directing the movie to add that comic voice, which "compliments Deadpool." Ed Skrein is also rumored to be joining the roster. It is said that Skrein will play the main villain in the movie.

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick wrote the script. Lauren Shuler Donner is the producer.

"Deadpool" is set for release on Feb. 12, 2016.
