David Foster and Katharine McPhee news: Rumored couple seen sharing a kiss

David Foster and Katharine McPhee as good as confirmed that they are dating after sharing a kiss in Beverly Hills.

The duo has been shutting down dating rumors left and right for months, saying that they are just friends. However, a recent photo taken after their lunch at E Baldi restaurant says otherwise. The rumored couple was waiting for their car outside the Italian cafe when the 33-year-old singer-actress leaned in to kiss the 68-year-old music producer.

Up until early November, the "American Idol" alum was denying dating the Canadian songwriter. In an interview with Health, she reiterated that Foster is just a "very close friend." The "My Destiny" singer added that she has known the musician since she was 21 years old, when he wrote her first single. "I'm really, really fond of him, and I think he's an incredible person... People can say whatever they want."

The pair has been rumored to be dating since May, when they were spotted together at the Nobu restaurant in Malibu.

At the Grammy Museum Gala in June, Foster's daughter, Erin, added fuel to the flame when she posted a photo of the rumored couple via her Instagram stories. It was captioned "Excited about my new step mom."

In September, she posted another photo of the two on stage and captioned it "my parents."

McPhee also explained Erin's actions to Health magazine. She said they were all sitting around the same table when Erin asked, "Do you wanna, like, do a thing," to which, she agreed. "So I mean, we were in on it. She's so funny... Truly, you think that's how she'd announce it? On Instagram?" the "Terrified" singer shared.

McPhee's last serious relationship was with "Scorpion" co-star Elyes Gabel. She was previously married to actor Nick Cokas, from 2008 to 2014. They finalized their divorce in 2016.

Foster, meanwhile, has been married four times. The last was with Yolanda Hadid, from 2011 to 2015. Their divorce was finalized in May 2017.
