The hardcore role-playing game by developer Bandai Namco, "Dark Souls," will be offered as a special "Dark Souls Trilogy Box Set," which will include all three games. The Box Set includes "Dark Souls Remastered," "Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin," and "Dark Souls 3: The Fire Fades Edition," and is expected to be released in May of this year.
The official announcement was made in the Japanese "Dark Souls" site, with a picture that showcases all the physical items that are included in the "Dark Souls Trilogy Box Set" -- such as bookends that are faithful to the style and theme of the game, each of the games' official and complete soundtracks, art prints with special frame, and bundled guide books that contain the details of every weapon and item that can be found in each "Dark Souls" game.
As for the digital goodies, all the downloadable contents for each game in the trilogy will also be included so that players will not have to download them anymore when they purchase the Box Set.
Unfortunately, for Western-based fans, they might have to wait a little bit longer since Bandai Namco has only announced a release date for Japan, which will be some time in May of this year. On top of that, the Box Set was only confirmed for the PlayStation 4. As of now, there is no official announcement as to whether the premium bundle will be made available to the PC or the Xbox One in the future.
It is currently estimated that the "Dark Souls Trilogy Box Set" will cost around 48,900 yen, or approximately $450. The price is definitely steep, but it is packed with collectibles for the biggest "Dark Souls" fans out there.
"Dark Souls Trilogy Box Set" will be released in Japan on May 24, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
