Vincent D'Onofrio is playing coy about the return of his character, Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin, in "Daredevil" season 3.

The actor has hinted several times that Kingpin is not done with Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Hell's Kitchen yet, but he would not say whether he will be back in the next season.

While replying to a fan on Twitter, the actor implied that nothing is set in stone yet when it comes to an appearance in "Daredevil" season 3.

If Kingpin will not be in the new season, it will be a long wait for fans before they see him in action again, with the show not returning until 2018, that is, unless he shows up to spinoffs.

It is being said that if Kingpin won't be in "Daredevil" season 3, he might appear in "The Punisher" spinoff starring Jon Bernthal or in "The Defenders" miniseries where Daredevil will be in it.

Fans might also see him pop by "Iron First" and "Luke Cage." When asked by IGN about this possibility, D'Onofrio emphasized that he can't say anything about that yet. However, he suggested that the love of executive producer Jeph Loeb for the character and the series could mean that it is "probably not finished, that whole deal when it comes to Fisk."

"But when and where and how is not something I can talk about. I know that there's ... anybody that knows the whole Daredevil and Punisher series, they know that there's a lot of Fisk in there," he went on to say.

Fans know that Kingpin will exact his revenge soon, and he is plotting his next big plan while he serves his time in prison. Whether "Daredevil" season 3 will give the character that opportunity remains to be seen.

The new season of "Daredevil" is said to focus on Elektra (Elodie Yung) and her expected resurrection, care of the Hand, making her an asset to the villainous organization and enemy of Daredevil.
