'Daredevil' season 3 spoilers: Elektra back as an ally after 'The Defenders' stint?

It looks like Elektra (Elodie Yung) will not be as dead in "Daredevil" season 3 as she was when viewers last saw her in the second season of the Netflix hit.

Netflix recently confirmed that Elektra will be part of the "The Defenders" miniseries, which will feature Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones).

"The Defenders" will air way before "Daredevil" season 3 hits Netflix, but it appears that fans would not have to wait until 2018 to learn of Elektra's fate.

In the previous season of "Daredevil," Elektra was killed, but The Hand got a hold of her and used her as their new weapon, Black Sky, which meant she has to be resurrected but with a corrupted mind.

Whatever that ends up happening in the miniseries should dictate what will be next for Elektra and the Man without Fear come "Daredevil" season 3.

Elektra might be alive in "The Defenders," but with what will be at stake in the miniseries, there is no way of knowing what she will end up in.

But with an important character like Elektra, fans are holding out hope that "Daredevil" season 3 will see her back to her normal self or at least, alive.

Apart from Elektra, "Daredevil" season 3 is also expected to finally pit the Devil against Bullseye, one of the most popular Daredevil villains in the comics.

In addition to the fact that Cox suggested the show will, at some point, feature the ruthless marksman, there is greater expectation Bullseye will be in the next season as Marvel has announced a new comic book series centered on him.

Elektra and Kingpin, who is also known as Wilson Fisk, got their own new comics as well, all of which set to launch next year. This is perfect to help fans get by the long wait for "Daredevil" season 3, which was delayed to 2018.
