As the long wait for "Daredevil" season 3 goes on, rumor mills continue to churn out details about what to expect in the third outing of The Man Without Fear.

For starters, it is being said that Elektra (Elodie Yung) will be back in the new season and will even be more powerful when she once again makes her presence known in Hell's Kitchen.

Although Elektra was killed in the second season, the villainous organization, the Hand, got a hold of her body and loaded it in the rejuvenation booth, which will help in resurrecting her in "Daredevil" season 3.

Fans loved Yung's performance in the series as Elektra so much that they wanted her to be in her own show. As the Twitter account of the series described the character, she is the "queen" of Hell's Kitchen.

That being said, the show is by no means done with Elektra. However, despite a return in "Daredevil" season 3, fans should expect a very different Elektra in the new season.

The fact that it was the Hand that resurrects her shows that she will be corrupted. This means that instead of fighting next to Daredevil, she will be on the opposite side of the battle when the allies meet again in "Daredevil" season 3.

Meanwhile, it looks like Elektra won't be the only character returning in the new season. Vincent D'Onofrio hinted in his interview with LRM Online that his character, Kingpin, will be back as well.

When asked about the season 1 big bad's reappearance, the actor was coy in responding. "That I can't answer. I do know, but I can't answer... so take that how you will," D'Onofrio said.

"Jeff and Charlie and Netflix love Kingpin, and so, Kingpin is good for Marvel's television stuff and I think they agree," he went on to say. The actor also promised that if "there's something coming up and if I'm available, I'll be there."

"Daredevil" season 3 will premiere in 2018 on Netflix.
