'DWTS' 2015 season 21 Week 6 preview: Couples perform Famous Dances from film and music

The nine remaining couples in "Dancing with the Stars" season 21 will celebrate a night that's sure to be iconic and legendary. Week 6 is all about Famous Dances so viewers will see the contenders busting some moves and routines popularized in movies and music videos.

As expected, the dances will be of great variety, including what are anticipated as romantic and steamy performances as well as some hint of hip hop and Broadway. Fans can even look forward to a "Magic Mike" moment courtesy of Carlos PenaVega.

Viewers can also expect Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough to take a crack at an unforgettable "Dirty Dancing" performance. In this rumba routine, the pair hopes that they pull off that famous lift that serves as a trademark of the dance.

  • Carlos PenaVega & Witney Carson – "Pony" from Magic Mike
  • Hayes Grier & Emma Slater – "You're the One that I Want" from Grease
  • Nick Carter & Sharna Burgess – "You Should Be Dancing" from Saturday Night Fever
  • Paula Deen & Louis van Amstel – "Vogue" by Madonna
  • Tamar Braxton & Valentin Chmerkovskiy – "Rhythm Nation" by Janet Jackson

This week of "Dancing with the Stars" season 21 will be special as four-time Grammy award winner Olivia Newton-John, who is also the voice behind Hayes and Emma's chosen song will be sitting in the judges' panel to help out Julianne Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli pick who could go home and who nailed their dance reimagining.

By the end of Week 6, the couple with the lowest combined scores from the judges and public votes from the recent "Switch Up" and "Most Memorable Year" will have to pack their bags and leave the competition.

"Dancing with the Stars" season 21 week 6 airs Oct. 19, 8 p.m. ET and Oct. 20, 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
