'Dance Moms' season 6 spoilers: ALDC snags win for first competition in new season

"Dance Moms" season 6 has long been made official. The search for new young talents has come and gone and apparently, the first competition for the season is done and has been successfully taken over by the Abby Lee Dance Crew, who was able to establish another dance conquest on stage.

The contest in question is the Sheer Talent Special Edition Competition, which took place in Glendale, California. The group performed "The Girl in the Plastic Bubble," which highlighted each of the girls' dancing skills and ultimately helped them topple their rival, Jeanette Cota's Broadway Dance Academy, who performed "The Waiting Room."

If the contest will be featured in "Dance Moms" season 6, fans can expect some members of the team to get the spotlight for themselves, including Brynn Rumfallo and JoJo Siwa, who won the group additional awards and recognitions.

The latter won platinum for her performance "Own It." The former dominated the pre-lyrical division with a stellar routine for "The Coronation." Rumfallo, who starred in the fifth season of the series, also placed first overall.

Reports claim dance instructor Abby Miller's alleged star student Maddie Ziegler did not have time to compete as she was reportedly busy filming with "Jurassic World" director Colin Trevorrow's upcoming movie "The Book of Henry."

Though she missed the competition, it was already confirmed that she will still be in "Dance Moms" season 6. Fans may not likely see the popular dance prodigy bust some moves at the start of the new season but she will be definitely be present in it.

There's not much info to go by when it comes to the premiere date or the installments for the upcoming season of the Lifetime reality series. But what is currently being said is that new episodes for "Dance Moms" will be aired next year.
