Those who are planning to get a new smartphone but are worried about their budget might want to check out the amazing Moto X deal offered by Motorola on Cyber Monday.  Once the clock strikes 11 a.m. on Dec. 1, consumers can log on to the Motorola website to register and get a promo code to avail huge discounts for the second generation Moto X.

The unlocked Moto X 2014 edition will be sold with $140 shaved off from its usual price. It means that the contract-free 16 GB model can be purchased for just $359, while the 32 GB version will have a tag price of $409.

Those who want to purchase the Moto X phone with a two-year contract with Verizon Wireless can purchase the device for just a penny, which is $99.98 cheaper compared to the original price.

This is not the first time Motorola is offering tempting deals for the Moto X. The first edition of the device was also released with a discounted price, and the product sold out immediately. Since the new edition of the Moto X is given improved specs compared to its predecessor, the new Cyber Monday deal could also make more people consider buying the new smartphone.

The Moto X 2014 edition comes with a 5.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display featuring 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution with 424 ppi pixel density. It runs using the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system, but it can be updated to the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. Motorola's affordable smartphone is equipped with a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset with 2 GB RAM and quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor and Adreno 330 GPU. It also comes in two internal memory options, namely the 16 GB and 32 GB varieties.

The registration for the Cyber Monday promo code will last until 5 p.m. on Dec. 1 or until codes are available. It can be used until Dec. 15 to purchase the device at the discounted price.
