A couple stabbed each other last week over an argument on who should win this season's "American Idol".
Karen Elaine Harrelson, 48, and Gregory Stambaugh, 57, were watching the season's finale performance show between Candice Glover and Kree Harrison on May 15. The pair, who was drunk, reportedly got into an argument on who should win the show, according to The York Dispatch.
One of them reportedly went into the kitchen and got a knife before stabbing their partner. The other then got the knife and stabbed the other, according to investigators.
However, it is not clear who stabbed first as they both insist that the other stabbed first.
Both Harrelson and Stambaugh are being held on assault charges at the York County Prison.
Candice Glover defeated country singer Kree Harrison last week. The 23-year-old had finally achieved her dream of winning American Idol after showing consistency and strong performances throughout the season. She had previously auditioned for the 9th and 11th season of the singing reality show but never made it to the final rounds,
Glover had performed a powerful rendition of "Inseparable" with former Idol contestant and Grammy/Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson on the Idol finale show.
