Cleveland Cavaliers news: LeBron James out for rest of preseason?

Don't be surprised if you do not see Lebron James in action for the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers' preseason games. James is not injured but will be sitting out the rest of the preseason matches as a precautionary measure.

As everyone knows, the NBA regular season is set to start in a couple of weeks; the Cavs want to make sure that James is good to go.

Not that James is injured, but it seems that an old back problem has recurred and such is the reason why he has taken an anti-inflammatory injection to treat it, as reported by ESPN

The procedure is somehow similar to the one he had back in January, something that saw him sit out about two weeks before returning back to action.

The case is practically the same now, and there had already been plans beforehand to sit James in the homestretch of their preseason matches.

The thing is James could make one final appearance in the last game of the Cavs. It seems that the Cavs will try to approach the game with both James and Kevin Love in tow for game situation scenarios.

The Cavs are paying close watch on their players, making sure that injuries are minimized and that most of the players are healthy by the time the NBA playoffs come around.

With an intact lineup except for Tristan Thompson, the Cavs are expected to come back hard and make another serious run for the NBA title.

The Cavs fell short of that goal last time out, falling to the Golden State Warriors. James carried the load for the Cavs that season, with key players like Love, Kyrie Irving, and Anderson Varejão out on injuries.

Irving is expected to debut likely in 2016 as he recuperates from a knee cap surgery.
