The Rihanna and Leonardo DiCaprio dating rumors exploded in January when the two were seen spending a lot of time with each other. While the two have remained silent about the whole issue, Rihanna's ex Chris Brown has spoken about it and he gives his blessing to the alleged couple.

In a radio interview with Hot 97, Brown was asked if he greeted Rihanna on her birthday. Brown jokingly answered that he didn't want to get into trouble with his girlfriend, Karrueche Tran.

"Nah, I ain't getting' slapped. My girl would've slapped me," he said.

Despite not sending his birthday greetings, Brown did answer the question about RiRi and DiCaprio's rumored relationship.

He started by saying, "I respect her enough to respect her privacy and her space, because I can't believe everything I hear in the news. But what I see, I'll be like, 'OK cool, there might be something else going on."

He also said that he is happy with RiRi's upgrade as there's nowhere else to go but up.

"I'm gonna have to give her that, because you know what? Ain't nowhere else you coulda went though. High five. You can only go up, and that's the upper, upper echelon... I'm not even a hater. I'll give you a slap on the back, booty, everything, 'Hey, do your thing. Good game,'" Brown added.

It is unsure whether Brown's comments brought problems with Tran or his PR team, but after he made the statement, he went on to Twitter to share that he won't be talking about RiRi in his interviews anymore.

"I've given the world enough opinions. I'm not doing no more interviews unless it's about my art or music. It's nothing else anyone needs," the first tweet said. It was then followed by another post that says, "Don't ask me about Drake or Rihanna. Anything u need to hear is in all our music. #500"
