Chicago Bulls NBA roster rumors 2015: No takers for Taj Gibson yet

Taj Gibson must be sitting on pins and needles these days, especially with the fact that he doesn't know if he will continue to don the Chicago Bulls' colors for the 2015-16 NBA season.

It is widely believed of course that Gibson will be eventually dealt to another team though it remains unknown which team that would be. There were earlier rumors linking Gibson to the Los Angeles Lakers but thus far nothing has happened. If you missed that post, you can read it here.

What makes Gibson a problem is the fact that the Bulls have a lot of forwards in the lineup, not to mention cheaper than Gibson who carries an $8 million paycheck.

Additionally, Gibson is reportedly not fit into the system being employed by new head coach Fred Hoiberg, all the more pointing to an eventual exit for the 30-year-old forward.

Aside from the Lakers, Washington could be a possible destination. Gibson has proven what he can do prior to his surgery and with the reported planned trade of Nene, Gibson could fill in the spot.

Gibson would become an instant starter with the Wizards as he tries to recall his old form and blend in with resident stars John Wall and Bradley Beal.

But to make it happen, who do the Wizards give up? There would be a need to sacrifice some manpower for the Wizards to accommodate Gibson. Seeing that the Bulls are hard-pressed in the salary cap area, it could be a player or two that the Bulls may eventually end up waving.

All this is pure speculation of course and the only factual thing about it is the fact that Bulls are looking for suitors. Gibson is too good of an asset to pass up but right now, it remains to be seen which team will pick up the tab.
