Celine Dion news: Cancels two more shows in Las Vegas due to cold

Canadian singer and diva Celine Dion canceled two more shows that were intended for Las Vegas, Nevada -- with now a total of five canceled shows for the month of January. The string of cancellations is allegedly caused by a persistent cold that the singer has been suffering from. Although Dion's fans have tried to be sympathetic toward her health, a significant number of them have been also expressing their frustrations on the internet.

The news of the additional cancellations first came out on the diva's official Facebook page, stating that her Jan. 16 and Jan. 17 shows are canceled. According to the announcement, the cold that Dion has been suffering from has affected her nasal passages, as well as her vocal chords, and was advised by her doctor to take a longer break in order to make a full recovery.

The employees under the diva profusely apologized in their message, and also spoke on behalf of AEG and Cesar's Palace, the venue where the shows were supposed to take place. Additionally, Dion's management also stated that people may be granted a refund for their tickets, if they choose to do so.

The fans sounded off in the comments section, recognizing that Dion's health is of the utmost importance. However, they also expressed their frustration due to the last-minute nature of the cancellations, which leads to aspiring concert attendees not having enough time to adjust their schedules -- especially for those who have come a long way to see the 49-year-old performer.

After cancelling the first three shows, Dion expressed last Sunday, Jan. 14, that she found it extremely difficult to cancel her next two shows. It is safe to assume that her reluctance to cancel the shows led to the late announcement regarding the cancellation in the first place. If the diva wants to remain in the good graces of her fans, she must think of ways to appease them, fast.
