Canon has announced the coming of the new XC10 4K Digital Camcorder, a new device that many multimedia practitioners may want to seriously look into. The camcorder is a cool new device which comes armed with impressive multimedia creation capabilities, something that can put the company's highly touted 4K imaging system to the test.

The Canon XC410 is capable of producing 4K and full HD videos but can also be used to snap 12MP photos. This can be done via the camcorder's built-in function which allows them to extract 8MP stills on recorded 4K videos.

The XC410 comes with an array of features. This includes a 1-inch 12 MP CMOS sensor, a 10X wide-angle zoom lens (with a 2X digital teleconverter), and a 64GB SanDisk CFast 2.0 card and card reader. For people who don't have steady hands, the XC410's Optical Image Stabilizer technology should make sure your shots are recorded better and firmly.

Aside from the main features, the XC410 will also come with various ports necessary for target professional photographers and videographers. That includes an audio jack, a microphone socket, a HDMI 1.4 port, DC power, an integrated neutral density filter, and USB. The camcorder also comes with provisions for WiFi which should broaden the uploading possibilities for owners once they are done recording videos or stills.

From afar, the Canon XC410 may look similar to the usual Canon DSLR camera and the difference really lies on the rotating grip it comes with.

As far as the type of videos it can produce, the XC410 is programmed with the latest codecs (XF-AVC Intra codec for 4K recording and XF-AVC Long GOP for Full HD recording) to ensure that folks maintain their expected quality as far as the photos and videos is concerned.

And with those high specs comes an expected stiff price. The Canon XC410 camcorder which is actually aimed at professional photographers, retails for $2,499. It is expected to become available this coming June, 2015.
