Brandon Rios opponent in June fight may be Tim Bradley

If you have been following our boxing updates here at Christian Today, you may have come across that post about Tim Bradley Jr. aka the Desert Storm preparing to fight on June 13, 2015. Though no official name has been dropped as to who is opponent would be, it seems that the mystery opponent will be Brandon Rios.

Rios may have come across the fact that Bradley has yet to name an opponent and since he has no plans as well, a tiff with Desert Storm could be a possibility. Hence Rios, through his manager Cameron Dunkin, is reportedly trying to arrange a fight with Bradley.

Bradley is coming off an impressive win over Mike Alvarado last January and it seems that the American boxer wants to get into the ring once again.

For his part, Bradley is seeking to bounce back and come up with a breakout victory after settling for a controversial split-draw last December against Diego Chaves. Before Rios entered the fray, Bradley was reportedly busy preparing for a June 13 fight in New York City with the opponent yet to be named.

Sources say that Bradley's camp already has a list of names for possible opponents but Rios apparently wants in. Of course, despite Rios' inquiries, there is still no guarantee that it would be him against Bradley on June 13.

One thing that both fighters share is that they have already fought Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao. Bradley holds a 1-1 record against Pacquiao while Rios lost on November 23, 2013 in Macau.

Rios however got back on the winning track after that loss. Prior to the TKO win over Alvarado, he ironically faced Diego Chaves as well and won by disqualification.

Hence, it should be interesting to see if Rios could be seriously considered against Bradley. If so, expect an official announcement to be made soon.
