Whitney Houston's only child Bobbi Kristina Brown is still fighting for her life after she was found unresponsive and face down in a bathtub in her home last Jan. 31. Since then, she has been put in medically-induced coma to prevent further swelling of her brain.

Many believed that what happened to Bobbi was an accident. However, the authorities believe otherwise. In fact, the police is treating Bobbi's case as  criminal matter that merits a criminal investigation.

Roswell Police Chief Rusty Grant confirmed to Reuters the nature of the investigation. In an email response, he said "I can confirm that we have a criminal investigation ongoing. From the beginning, it has always been a criminal investigation."

Due to the lack of details that the authorities have released to the public, this confirmation comes as a surprise to many. But still, Bobbi's camp will remain silent about the details.

"This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence," Brown family lawyer Christopher Brown said.

There are two aspects of the case that the police are currently investigating. First, how did Bobbi end up face down in her tub full of water? Next, what is the explanation behind the injuries found on her?

Meanwhile, false rumors had been spreading like wildfire due to scarcity of details surrounding Bobbi's medical condition. Some rumors stated that Bobbi was to be pulled off life support and it will be done on the same day that her mother Whitney died. There is no truth to this rumor. Bobbi is still on life support and fighting for her life.

Bobbi's family led a prayer vigil at the Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, where the 21-year-old daughter of Whitney and Bobby Brown is being treated. The family continues to request privacy at this trying time.

Bobbi Kristina's partner Nick Gordon finally broke his silence and stated that he is praying for her. He also denied reports that he is taking legal action to be able to see her after Bobbi Kristina's family reportedly barred him from seeing her.

Gordon spoke through a representative, attorney Randy Kessler who stated: "In response to reports that Nick Gordon is taking legal action, he would like it to be clear, he is not. Mr. Gordon's only concern is the recovery of Bobbi Kristina. He remains in constant prayer for his companion and he hopes to be reunited with her soon. Despite the incredible public interest, we ask and hope that this request can be resolved privately by Mr. Gordon and the family."
