'Big Bang Theory' season 8 spoilers: Howard meets his half-brother, Sheldon and Amy go on a 'platonic' sleepover in episode 20 'The Fortification Implementation'

The next episode of "The Big Bang Theory" guarantees a barrel of laughs. Titled "The Fortification Implementation," the new installment will show Sheldon and Amy take a big leap in their relationship by having a sleepover.

Sheldon is downcast for having been overlooked by people conducting a physics symposium in a home where the late theoretical physicist Richard Feynman once lived. The dejection summons a slew of bad memories, with Sheldon recalling how he was counted out by his own siblings of the forts they built when they were little.

This leads him and Amy to put together their own fort, with which they decide to do their first monumental move as a couple. However, it is not just be any overnight bash.

As the synopsis of the episode so clearly emphasizes, Sheldon and Amy will be having a sleepover described as "platonic." It will surely be fun to see how it all turns out for the couple as it will be the first time they would do such, and for it to be companionable makes fans wonder how it will go down.

Meanwhile, things are also going to be big for Howard as his half-brother pops out of nowhere in the upcoming episode. Without the slightest idea how his sibling gets washed up on his shores, Howard gets a younger brother right then and there.

"Victorious" star Matt Bennett stars as the aerospace engineer's long-lost brother. Within 10 seconds of knowing each other, they are brought closer by their mutual abhorrence toward their father who abandoned their family.

Lastly, the upcoming "The Big Bang Theory" episode may finally make Penny a star. When the opportunity to be part in a Kevin Smith movie comes up, the aspiring actress races to show off her acting chops to get into the flick and finally gets the ticket to stardom she has always dreamed about.

Episode 20 of "The Big Bang Theory" season 8 titled "The Fortification Implementation" will be aired on April 9.
