'Battle Royale Trainer' news: Game lets players compete with bots to train for 'PUBG'

The competition in "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG)" is becoming increasingly intense, as other games from different developers have now made it their purpose to train players for it.

One such game is called "Battle Royale Trainer" from developer and publisher Trickjump Games, which lets players do a mock-up battle with artificial intelligence (AI) bots in order to become better at "PUBG." The game lets players pick out bots and customize their characteristics, as well as pick their own starting equipment in-game. The game will let players test out bullet drop mechanics and other things such as determining which tactics work best in a scenario. The information they learn can then be replicated into "PUBG."

This is quite a major difference compared to "PUBG," since most of the time, players will never get to practice with end-game gear in that game due to how luck and other determining factors can affect gameplay. In "PUBG," players usually start with nothing, and it is up to them to scavenge weapons and gear. This means that they will have to make do with whatever they find, leaving little room for experimentation or getting used to the best weapons in-game.

"Battle Royale Trainer" remedies this by letting players start out with top-of-the-line gear in a battle against 99 other bots. While the developers of the said trainer have not mentioned "PUBG" in its official Steam page, the resemblance is quite striking, particularly in the graphics aspect, and it is also worth noting that the genre was popularized by "PUBG," making it currently the world's most played battle royale game.

The game is available on Steam right now for $3.99 though fans of "PUBG" might want to take a look at the review rating of the game first since it only has 48 percent positive rating out of 176 user reviews. Some users have even mentioned poor AI in their reviews and other questionable mechanics such as bots only hunting down the player and not one another.
