'Batman: Arkham Knight' special edition PS4 bundle introduced, 50 GB download space needed

PlayStation 4 gamers who plan to get the latest and final iteration of the iconic "Batman: Arkham" series should clear up some space from their console to give way to the rather heavyweight "Batman: Arkham Knight" game.

The title's listing on the PlayStation Store says that "Batman: Arkham Knight" will take up as much as 50 GB of space, which is just huge. However, this should not come as a surprise. After all, Rocksteady shaped the action-adventure video game into something visually stunning. Screenshots are proof to that.

The game's version of Gotham City is made so colossal and it easily serves as the biggest milieu Rocksteady has crafted for the series. Furthermore, with the greater size comes rich and elaborate detailing, which also contributes to "Batman: Arkham Knight's" hefty size. Also, the dark knight's crime-fighting and high-speed pursuits are shown in 1080p, which, without doubt, explains its size even further.

As for the Xbox One version of the game, neither Microsoft nor Rocksteady made details available. Naturally, it is expected that the game will pack around the same load for the console.

With this size, it would not be a great idea to download a digital copy of "Batman: Arkham Knight," although those who plan to may want to start the installation and download early as the process will be time-consuming.

Meanwhile, in other related news, Sony Computer Entertainment has showed off the cool-looking "Batman: Arkham Knight" PS4 bundle in a new trailer. The limited edition console dipped in attractive silver has Batman's silhouette on one side. This special PS4 console along with a copy of the game is priced at $449.99. The console will be up for grabs on the same day the game launches, June 23, alongside another one in plain black, which is priced at $399.99.
