Batman will be equipped with cool and powerful gadgets to assist him in serving justice against the bad guys in the much-awaited action-adventure video game "Batman: Arkham Knight." One of these is bound to give him the upper hand in battles set above ground. Speaking to GamingBolt, Rocksteady Studios Social Marketing Manager Gaz Deaves is back to drop hints on what's on the Caped Crusader's arsenal.
Deaves stated the game studio's plans to incorporate gadgets to solve problems and, to do that, Rocksteady is looking to "expand on how some of [the] classic Arkham gadgets can be deployed." This means that players can now use gadgets while they are in the air. In "Batman Arkham Knight," the superhero can throw "batarangs into a group of thugs to thin them out before [they] engage on foot."
"Some gadgets have been upgraded in response to the bigger design decisions we made in the game," the social marketing manager further detailed to GamingBolt. "For example, the skyscrapers in Gotham city are extremely tall so to make navigation feel more natural, we've added a new chain grapnel that allows you to quickly ascend them by grappling multiple times in quick succession."
So one thing is for sure. Batman is made even more powerful in "Batman: Arkham Knight" not only for his highly-developed set of weaponry but also the fact that Rocksteady is reinventing his iconic companion, the Batmobile. In a separate interview with GamingBolt, Deaves detailed that the vehicle will come in two modes, Pursuit and Battle. The former makes it easy for the superhero to track down the enemies while the latter activates his high-powered weaponry from the automobile's turret. The Batmobile can jump, speed up, fire missiles and break everything in its path.
Batman will have to deal with Scarecrow and a few more of his enemies in this installment. It is said that the title will be the best way to end the legendary video game trilogy. With the promising set of armaments right there, no one can contest that. Kevin Conroy will be back to lend his voice to Batman.
"Batman: Arkham Knight" is scheduled to be released on June 2.
