It is hard not to fall in love with the Duggars and the Bates. Both families have a very strong Christian foundation deeply rooted in each member of the family. Hence, it is not a surprise when fans of both families wish and hope that there will be some courting going on from one side to another.
Recently, there are two rumors making the rounds. The first is that Joseph Duggar is said to be courting Tori Bates. Apparently, Joseph has now moved out of his home to pursue his college degree in Knoxville, Tennessee. The place he is staying at is just ten minutes away from where the Bates live. So, it's really no wonder how this rumor started.
The truth is, the Bates and Duggars have been friends for a long time. Joseph has stayed in the Bates home earlier this year, too. Sure, Joseph and Tori know each other and they go to the same college, but it is highly doubtful that he is courting Tori already.
Despite hearing the rumors, the Duggars are very much focused on praising Joseph's independence and strong faith. In their official Facebook page, family matriarch Michelle Duggar posted:
"Jim Bob decided he wanted to do his own post for Joseph's birthday! So from dad: Joseph turned 20 on the 20th! He is such a great, diligent young man. He typically gets up early at 5 am and prays and studies his Bible for over an hour. Joseph has just started going to Crown Bible College in Knoxville, Tennessee. He loves teaching and discipling young men, encouraging them to make wise choices in their lives. God is going to use Joseph in a mighty way to share His love and Bible principles to today's world! We are very pleased with his choices so far. We love you, son."
Elsewhere, the other brewing rumor is that Zach Bates actually courted Jana Duggar. Jana has been a subject of some headlines in the past months, when sisters Jill and Jessa got married before her. Jana is a very sweet and responsible girl that fans of "19 Kids and Counting" are hoping she'll find the guy for her.
According to Radar Online, Zach even asked the permission of Jim Bob to court Jana before he met his wife in 2013. Back then, Zach was 25 and Jana was only 18. An insider said that "Jana just wasn't interested."
Fans should know that there have been many suitors that tried to court Jana. However, she is "extremely picky," said a source. That only explains why she and her family keep saying that she is indeed looking for the "right one."
