The Zenfone 2 is one of the many handsets Asus has on the cards. The brand new device, which was announced back in January, is said to come out in Taiwan today, March 23. There are tons of reasons to keep an eye out for the handset and they all involve its admirable specs.

First is the recent benchmark test done by ePrice. The Asus Zenfone 2 tackled the best of Samsung, LG and Google, and by the end of the test, it was too close to call. Indeed, the smartphone proved that one does not need to burn a hole in their pocket to get a reliable mobile companion.

The Asus Zenfone 2 comes in 32 and 64 GB RAM, the last one introduced just recently. Users can get the handset in 32 GB with 4 GB RAM for TWD 8,990. Buyers can also opt for the same storage capacity but with 2 GB RAM. This will lower down the price to TWD 6,990. As for those who would need more space, the 64 GB flavor paired with 4 GB of RAM will do the trick. This variant is priced at TWD 9,990, and it will be available in Taiwan along with the 32 GB/ 4 GB RAM model.

The Asus Zenfone 2 is rather large with its 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p display that renders a crisp pixel density of 403 ppi. It features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera complete with dual LED flash and high-definition video recording. It also has a 5-megapixel front snapper for the selfie fix. It also has Android 5.0 Lollipop straight out of the box coupled with the new ZenUI.

Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and France can get a load of the device this month while India and other countries in Southeast Asia will see it in the flesh by April. The device will be available in Brazil come June.
