The comic book based reality television show "Arrow" has already been making significant changes in its sixth season. John Diggle, played by David Ramsey, has been given the torch as the titular Green Arrow. On the other hand, Oliver Queen, played by Stephen Amell, has taken a break from his super hero duties. However, this is not the only exciting news for fans, since speculations of another popular DC Comics super hero has recently been bubbling.

In a report by Digital Spy, they have stated that in the "Arrowverse," iconic super hero Batman is simultaneously co-existing in Gotham. This should not be surprising for fans and viewers alike, since through the course of the show's run, there have been thinly-veiled hints regarding the existence and exploits of The Dark Knight. In fact, in the latest episode, Oliver Queen uttered the name Bruce Wayne.

Could this be a foreshadowing of Batman's appearance in the show? In a report by Inverse, this may not yet be the case. It is already clearly established that the Bat is already out there in Gotham City, and is not leaving. This is quite understandable since it is Bruce Wayne's home, and he has sworn to protect it, much like Oliver is protecting Star City – especially now that he is the mayor.

Due to the clear anecdotes in episode 2 alluding to Bruce Wayne's existence, fans are now hopeful regarding Batman's eventual appearance in "Arrow." However, is it at all possible for The CW to make this happen? According to Death Rattle Sports, perhaps "The Flash" is the key to crossing over in terms of the Arrowverse plot. This is largely due to the fact that Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin, now has the ability to travel through time.

One of the obstacles of the crossover attempts was the fact that the show "Gotham" was set in the past, when Bruce Wayne was still a little boy, and inspector Gordon was the one putting the bad guys away. If the three shows can figure out a way to make the plotline work, it could potentially be one of the best fan service moments in the history of comic book based television series.

"Arrow" season 6 episode 3 airs on Oct. 25, Thursday at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
