Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S4 who live in Europe can now rock Android 5.0 Lollipop. Also, the wait for those in India, Slovakia, Germany and the Czech Republic finally comes to an end as they can now revamp the 2013 flagship with the handsome operating system from Google. On the other hand, users in the U.S. will have to wait for carriers to release the update themselves. Patience is asked for as carriers are usually behind schedule when it comes to Android Lollipop rollouts.

Android Lollipop first landed on the Galaxy S4 in Russia back on Feb. 2. Then the software slowly made its way to India. Since the update rolls out in phases, not all users can immediately get a hold of it.

The update comes with a hefty 1 GB size so it is advised to clear up 3 GB of space for the installation to run smoothly. In the process, apps like Google Play Movies and Books will be deleted for memory optimization but downloading them again should be easy breezy.

After a successful transition to Android Lollipop, the S4 will lose 950 MB (because Lollipop is bigger than KitKat) and the smartphone should get improvements on performance, new features as well as a fresh interface. For those who have yet to receive the notification prompt for the installation, they can always check its availability in the phone's settings.

There is also good news for Galaxy Note 2 owners. Samsung Poland revealed through their Twitter account recently that Android Lollipop is coming to the 5.5-inch device, making it the oldest Samsung handset to don the update. Unfortunately, further details about the rollout are still out of reach. The information itself was not an announcement, but an answer to one of its Twitter followers. Nevertheless, it is still great to know that the 2012 device is still getting the Lollipop treatment despite its maturity.

Meanwhile, Android Lollipop version 5.0.1 is said to have arrived in Poland for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. This, however, is a mere beta test for the software so as to prepare it for bigger scale rollouts.
