Good news for AT&T users who own the LG G3: the 2013 flagship smartphone will finally be sweeter with Android Lollipop. The carrier has started rolling out the firmware to the device and AT&T subscribers should be prompted of the installation by now. The update is at 690 MB and it gussies up the phone with software version D85020f and build number LRX21Y of Android 5.0.1 Lollipop. If a notification has not yet popped up, users can go to the settings of the phone (Setting > About Phone > Software updates) and check its availability.

Continuing the never-ending quest to outfit Android handsets with Lollipop, Google has been busy like crazy. Consequently, OnePlus One owners have also been busy — with twiddling their thumbs for the new operating system to land on the Shenzen-made flagship.

The folks at Paranoid Android have also been hard at work to seed the sweet update. As a result of their diligence, OnePlus One can finally don the coveted Lollipop look with the use of a Cyanogen custom ROM Android 5.0 Lollipop Alpha 1 version drawn out from the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). The 204 MB-ROM brings a wealth of improvements and features to the 5.5-inch handset.

It brings the update baseline to AOSP Lollipop 5.0.2, additional disable option and others to Heads Up, quick unlock, extended power menu and Material Design-looking volume panel. Moreover, the volume buttons double as next and previous keys for skipping songs when the device is locked. The ROM also adds the CM12 Theme Engine and eliminates various small bugs brought about by the AOSP.

Before pushing through with the installation, OnePlus owners should revert back to factory settings and make sure that the device is rooted. The handset's memory should also be emptied out so it is advised to back up the files on the phone with Clockwork Mod Recovery or TWRP within the OnePlus One. Also, the device should be 100 percent charged. Users cannot afford to have the installation process interrupted by low battery.

Here is a must-read guide from the developers. Get the ROM here
