Prior to the release of the much awaited Android L, smartphone manufacturers have been spending time expanding the line of products that offers the current Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system.

This is what Samsung has been doing for a while. They are planning to upgrade the OS of their current Galaxy line from Android version 4.4.2 or lower, to the latest Android version 4.4.4 in the coming days. But no official news about the schedule for the planned roll-out had been unveiled to the public.

However, a leaked document shared on an XDA forum thread posted on GforGames showed an alleged update roll-out schedule for seven Samsung Galaxy smartphones as well as the other smartphone models from the South Korean consumer and tech brand.

Based on the said leak, dubbed as the KTU84P Update Phase 2, the 2014 flagship phone Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900I and SM-G900F models) as well as the Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900) and Galaxy Note 3 LTE (SM-N9005) had already completed the Android 4.4.4 update this October.

Meanwhile, the Samsing Galaxy S5 (GT-I9500), Galaxy S4 LTE (GT-I9505), and the Galaxy Note 3 Neo (SM-N750) will face the Final Testing stage this November.

The update status of other smartphone models, including Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini (SM-I9190), Galaxy S4 Mini Duos (SM-I9192), Galaxy Grand 2 (SM-G7105), Galaxy Grand 2 Duos (SM-G7102), Galaxy Note II (GT-N7100), and Galaxy Note 2 LTE (GT-N7105) will still be pending as of November this year.

In addition, there are current reports suggesting that Samsung Galaxy S5 and the upcoming Galaxy Note 4 could be upgraded to the soon-to-be-released Android L in the later months of 2014.

However, reps from Samsung still have to confirm the leaked reports about the Android version 4.4.4 upgrade. Without the tech giant's confirmation, it is advised to be wary of the rumors that that been going around the Internet.
