Amir Khan next fight 2015 news, rumors: Kell Brook eying Khan next after Gavin fight

Kell Brook is all set to defend his IBF title this Saturday against Frank Gavin at the O2 Arena in Greenwich, London in what he believes will remain his despite the challenge being put up by his southpaw opponent.

Brook, who won the IBF belt from Shawn Porter, is coming off a recent victory last March against Jo Jo Dan and he believes that another win against Gavin could help set the stage for an impending match between him and Amir Khan.

But before looking ahead, Gavin warned Brook not to be too overconfident. In fact, he has a surprise for Brook, something he relayed through Brook's promoter Eddie Hearns.

Brooks holds a 34-0-0 record with 23 knockouts. He has been unbeaten ever since turning pro (2004) and has been longing to face off with Khan.

But Gavin is not about to make things easier for Brook and an upset cannot be discounted.

To his credit, Gavin (23-1-0) has won 13 fights by knockout and has lost once since turning pro in 2009.

Gavin believes that he can last the distance against Brook and believes that such is to his advantage. He believes that Brook's stamina is in question and noted that the British undefeated boxer looked worn out despite winning over Dan.

Moving forward though, Brook may want to backpedal a bit as far as facing Khan is concerned.

Khan is set to face Chris Algieri this weekend and should he come out on top, there is a big possibility that Khan could be Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s opponent this coming September.

Though nothing has been made official, Khan seems to be at the top of Mayweather's list so it could mean that Brook will have to wait a bit longer (probably early next year) before going up against Khan.
