'American Horror Story' season 4 spoilers: Will Elsa believe the truth? Chester introduced, Jimmy visited in jail

What is Stanley (Denis O'Hare) really up to in Elsa Mars' freak show camp? Facebook

When "American Horror Story" returns next week with episode 11 titled "Magical Thinking," fans will see Elsa intent on becoming a Hollywood star.

Indeed, Elsa does a lot of thinking here. According to the synopsis, Elsa has been preparing to go to Hollywood ever since Stanley told her about the TV show and meetings with the producers. Elsa's mind has been fed with lies and she doesn't know it. Stanley's real agenda is to infiltrate the Freak Show camp so he can profit from the deaths of the different freaks.

Maggie already discovered the truth back in episode 10 and she told Desiree about it. In "Magical Thinking," Desiree tells Elsa the truth and it remains to be seen if Elsa will actually believe her. Although, it has to be pointed out that in a flash-forward scene with Pepper, Elsa does in fact make it to Hollywood.

Chester, played by Neil Patrick Harris, is included in Elsa's preparation to become a Hollywood star. Chester becomes the new owner of the Freak Show. In the episode 11 promo video, Chester is featured as a magician although his real work is a traveling salesman.

Just like everyone else, Chester has his share of dark secrets, too. His secret involves his ventriloquist dummy, which isn't a doll at all. The dummy turns human, who is played by Jamie Brewer. Apparently, the dummy loves seeing Chester cut people in half during his tricks.

Further, Chester has dark plans for the twins Bette and Dot as well. In the promo, he says, "Magic is about distracting an audience. And what better distraction than you two." He even charms his way to their hearts by saying they are beautiful.

Meanwhile, Jimmy will be revisited in jail in the same episode. Back in episode 10, it was a shock to see Jimmy's hand chopped off. In the next episode, it will be seen that Stanley is also interested in Jimmy's hands and Dell will device a plan to help Jimmy escape the police.

"American Horror Story: Freak Show" will return on Jan. 7. There are only three episodes left in the season.
