The Alcatel OneTouch did make a good account for itself during CES 2015 and while it was expected to come out in the latter part of 2015, the company is now taking in pre-orders for the said wearable tech.

Alcatel has announced that interested customers can book their orders via their site, something that they can get at a very affordable $149.99 price tag.

Despite the fact that many are still awaiting the release of another and more popular wearable tech in the Apple Watch, the Alcatel OneTouch should get its share of interested techies who want to get hold of the sleek timepiece.

Aside from the fairly competitive price of the Alcatel OneTouch, the good news is that folks who pre-order the device can expect shipment of the timepiece within 30 days after placing the order. According to the site, availability of the Alcatel OneTouch will start on April 30.

The watch is expected to be delivered in a silver case with a black band and will make use of a proprietary software. The said OS of the Alcatel OneTouch is said to be flexible, meaning it can easily be hooked up to either the iOS and/or Android platforms.

Among the expected features of the Alcatel OneTouch include a 1.22-inch display and a flat bottom which allows users to toggle between the watch's face and menu.

As most wearables, the watch features health-related features. That includes calorie tracking, and even a built-in heart rate monitor and IP67 certification.

With regards to battery life, it may depend on usage although it is believed that the watch could be good for use between 2 to 5 days.

Though the Alcatel OneTouch may find sales a bit rough with a whole lot of other wearable tech in the market, its competitive pricing ($149.99) does give it a fair chance of stealing some of the consumers in the market.
