Soon enough, the makers of the bestselling iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will unveil the Apple Watch, which is expected to be a landmark in the smartgear turf. CEO Tim Cook is starting a make-or-break lineup but the world anticipates another runaway success.
Moto 360, on the other hand, has been around for a while that it has seen scores of other wearable launches. No matter how many of them arrived, the tech-laden timepiece seemed to be the one enjoying the most gracious reviews and a reception a smartwatch maker could hope for.

This will entail various designs and straps to choose from, most of which come with leather or metal bands in aluminum and stainless steel bodies and a couple with 18K gold in them for a heightened level of sophistication.
The Motorola offering's 1.56-inch screen generates a 320 x 290 resolution and a 205 ppi pixel density. Although its face is round, a black sliver at the bottom that houses the ambient light sensor and display connectors obscures a bit of the view. The Alcatel wearable is a bit smaller at 1.22 inches. Its screen also has a blank area, which serves as a capacitive back button. The Apple Watch, which will come in two sizes, will get a 240 x 272 resolution for the 38 mm variant and 390 x 312 pixels for the 42 mm watch, according to Mac World. OneTouch will be powered up by an ST Micro ST429 unit, a processor which will give a familiar Alcatel feel. Apple has fashioned a chip called the S1 especially for the Apple Watch. Moto 360 went for a Texas Instrument OMAP 3. It comes with 4 GB storage and 512 MB RAM.
In the battery department, Alcatel OneTouch is a showstopper. It is advertised to last for 5 days, Phone Arena shared. It can juice up for less than an hour and users just have to connect it to the computer with the USB plug in the wrist strap. The Moto 360, with its 320 mAh unit, can last a day. The same goes for the Apple Watch. The Moto 360 is charged wirelessly while Apple Watch owners only need to "hold the connector near the back of the watch and let the magnets snap it into place automatically." This is the product of MagSafe technology fused with inductive charging.
All the wearables have the much-needed heart-rate sensor and an accelerator. Keeping track with daily workout routines will be made easy with one of these on the wrist. Checking on sleep cycles, calories shredded or distance traveled is easy, too. There is not much known about the features chipped into the OneTouch regarding its features as the world only had its first look on the device. But it was revealed that the watch can work with the Apple iPhone. The Verge says the messaging and mail function in the iOS build can work on it and that its connectivity is likely limited.
The Apple Watch and the Moto 360 can help with easily replying to messages using voice commands. Moto 360 has pre-encoded messages ready, while Apple, equipped with preset options as well, will let Siri do the work. Siri, as usual, will be of overall assistance to the wearers of the Apple timepiece. Notably, users can answer calls from the Apple Watch, something Moto 360 does not allow.
The Moto 360 has been in the showground for months and is available at $249.99 on the market. Alcatel OneTouch Watch is the most budget-friendly in the group, with only a $149 price tag. The Apple Watch has a starting price of around $349. This will only go up for its gold-laden version. The last two have yet to hit the market and the tech world awaits for their unveiling.
