It's impossible for us to do everything, to solve every problem that we have, and try as we might we regularly reach this conclusion. Whether it's taking on too many demanding responsibilities in our social life or overextending ourselves financially, there comes a point when it all gets too much.

The inability to deal with a situation that is causing us stress by ourselves can make us feel week, but there is no shame in needing help.

We don't have to carry our burdens alone, no matter how personal, self-inflicted, big or small they might be. Even when we can't look to a friend or relative to share the burden, we can always look to God.

Are you currently finding it hard to bear a burden caused by fear, a dilemma or the consequences of your own or someone else's actions? Don't suffer alone in silence, reach out to God and let Him ease the load that you carry.

God is ready to help you with your problems, let the following Bible verses help you get ready to share them with Him and trust that he will lighten your load.

God is always there to help you carry whatever burden you bear

Psalm 68:19-20 - Praise be to the Lord, to God our Saviour, who daily bears our burdens. Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death.

Matthew 11:29-30 - Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Psalm 55:22 - Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

1 Peter 5:6-7 - Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Isaiah 46:4 - Even to your old age and grey hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

We should look to assist others with their loads

Galatians 6:2 - Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.

God will equip us with the tools to deal with the burden, no matter how heavy it may be

1 Corinthians 10:13 - No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Despite the darkness that burdens can bring, there is always light

Romans 8:18 - I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
