'Westworld' episode 8 spoilers, news: Teddy has some dark visions; Bernard has a hard time

A promotional still from "Westworld" HBO

"Westworld" episode 7 just dropped several big plot details and ended with Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) murdering Theresa (Sidse Babett Knudsen) after it was revealed he was a host. This revelation will cause disarray for Bernard in episode 8, titled "Trace Decay."

As per the official synopsis, Bernard is going to struggle with a new mandate issued to him. In the official promo trailer, Ford (Anthony Hopkins) states a specific line that appears to anger Bernard. This line is spoken while the trailer shows what appears to be Theresa's body on a table.

"One man's death is but a small price to pay for the dominion I should acquire," is the line stated by Ford and is largely drawn from a similar line of dialogue from Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" or "The Modern Prometheus."

Given the nature of the line and its source material, it is widely speculated that Ford is going to ask for Bernard's assistance in taking Theresa's corpse and build a new host that is based on her. This would indicate that a future episode may see Theresa return as a host working at the park instead of being a human.

Teddy (James Marsden) is also shown in the trailer, but this time, he gets visions of previous events, particularly from episode 1 where the Man in Black (Ed Harris) murdered him and took Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) to rape and murder her. It is hinted that Teddy is also beginning to become self-aware of his past lives at the park.

Maeve (Thandie Newton) will also have a large role in the next episode as the trailer shows her asking for help from Felix (Leonardo Nam) and Sylvester (Ptolemy Slocum). This time around, she asks for a specific goal in reprogramming her so that she can break out of the park.

"Westworld" episode 8 is slated to air on Sunda, Nov. 20, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
