'Teen Wolf' season 5 spoilers: A new girl in town in episode 7 'Strange Frequencies'

Teen Wolf MTV

Episode 6 of "Teen Wolf" season 5 saw Scott (Tyler Posey) and the rest of the gang taking Dr. Valack's (Steven Brand) advice. Things didn't necessarily go in the direction they wanted and it appears that even more trouble is bound their way in episode 7, "Strange Frequencies."

The official synopsis for the upcoming episode, as posted by HNext, indicates that a new player will be introduced. Not all of the guest stars have been listed for season 5 at this point but the synopsis states that a new girl will show up and she won't be entirely as she seems.

Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O'Brien) doesn't immediately trust her and has his own suspicions on her intentions for coming to town. While this mysterious girl might be no threat to the group, she might be keeping her own secrets and her own agenda for or against the Dread Doctors.

The Dread Doctors themselves will have a more prominent role in the upcoming episode. The synopsis also explains that Scott's plans to protect the newest victim go awry when the Dread Doctors suddenly come in and cause havoc. It hasn't been revealed who this victim is but Scott's capabilities to save him/ her might not go as smoothly as planned.

It is entirely possible that the new mystery girl is not an enemy and might even hold some secrets that could help the gang fight back against the Dread Doctors. But given the details spilled by Dr. Valeck last time, this is less likely to be true. It is also possible that she intentionally comes by to offer her help but as "Teen Wolf" has proven, she may want something in return and it might not be something Scott and the rest would be willing to give up.

"Teen Wolf" season 5 episode 7, "Strange Frequencies," is scheduled to air on Aug. 3.
