For its seventh and final season, Paul Rudd's character Bobby Newport will once again return to Pawnee.

Entertainment Weekly reported that the actor will be coming back to the show for a couple of episodes this season. "Parks and Recreation" executive producer Michael Schur also discussed Rudd's return to the show.

"Ben [Adam Scott] needs to fill a certain position and he thinks Bobby might be a good candidate," Schur teased.

The executive producer also said that the decision to ask Rudd to return this season is a no-brainer, saying, "He's the world's nicest human being – and the funniest. We made a list of all the people that we wanted to have back and he was high on the list, so we managed to snag him."

Marvel's "Ant-Man" star joined the critically-acclaimed NBC comedy/ mocumentary when he portrayed the role of the heir to Pawnee's Sweetums candy company, and Leslie Knope's (Amy Poehler) clueless opponent to a city council seat. He was last seen after losing to Leslie in season 4.

But Bobby is not the only character who will return in the series for the last time. Leslie's best friend Ann Perkins (Rashida Jones) and her husband Chris Traeger (Rob Lowe) are also set to return this season. The couple left after Ann decided to raise their newborn baby in her hometown.

There will also be a long line of guest stars who will join "Parks and Recreation" season 7, including Natalie Morales, Megan Mullaly, as well as Jon Hamm.

The season 7 premiere of "Parks and Recreation" titled "2017" will feature a time jump following the events that took place in the season finale of season 6. The town of Pawnee will be experiencing a lot of innovations, like a droid-operated delivery system.

"Parks and Recreation" returns on Jan. 13 on NBC.
