The Orange is the New Black season 2 premiere date is expected to be announced soon as the cast and crew completed filming the finale episode this week in New York City.
The popular Netflix series was half-way through filming in mid-November last year and now, just two months later, filming has been completed.
Post-production has begun and the cast of the original hit prison-drama series have gotten together for a glamorous photo shoot with Elle magazine. Schilling commented on the season 1 finale which left viewers wondering what would happen to Taryn Manning's onscreen character Tiffany Doggett when Schilling's Piper snapped. "She'd had it up to here," she told Elle. "It's fun to play a character with such a dramatic shift."

Meanwhile, stars Taylor Schilling (Piper Chapman), Natasha Lyonne (Nicky), Laura Prepon (Alex Vause) and Uzo Aduba (Crazy Eyes) were spotted celebrating at the pre-Golden Globe bash this weekend.
Manning revealed to E!Online in August 2013 that she prepared for her role by going to church back to back. "She's very serious about reforming and Jesus Christ being her savior," Manning told E!Online's Marc Malkin. "The way that I prepared was...I went to church a bunch—like back to back to back."
She continued, "I read the Bible. It was important to me that I understood when a Christian or someone with that level of devotion speaks, it just comes right out with no hesitation. I wanted to have that flow. I did a lot of research and it's probably one of the most challenging roles that I've done."
Post-production is expected to last for another couple of months, meaning that the new series will launch some time in Spring.
Netflix's "House of Cards" season 2 will be premiering on Feb. 14, 2014. According to the production schedule thus far, the OITNB premiere is expected not long after the House of Cards premiere.
