U.S. President Barack Obama has said that the government will make fsociety pay for hacking and bringing down the Evil Corp.

In the promo clip for season 2 of "Mr. Robot," the President of the United States confirms that Evil Corp's ruthless vice president Tyrell Wellick (Martin Wallström) has a hand in the hacking of the company's pertinent information. The president vows to make him and fsociety pay for their crimes.

"They caused a lot of damage," President Obama states in the clip. "And we will respond. We will respond proportionally, and we will respond in a place and time and manner that we choose. It's not something that I will announce."

The President also says that FBI will work with the international community to tackle the problem, since cybersecurity issue is a pressing matter, and it should be dealt with accordingly.

Aside from tracking down the people behind Evil Corp, series creator Sam Esmail teased during the Television Critics Association press tour that season 2 will also focus on other things.

"There will be a lot more backstory that will be shown, the timeline will get a little clearer — not 100 percent clear, because where's the fun in that? But a little clearer ... it really is about Elliot trying to reconcile what this means in seeing Mr. Robot," the series creator stated, as reported by Entertainment Weekly. "The series is filling in the blanks of the past and the present of this character ... It's about a guy who becomes aware of this delusion he's been having."

In other news, reports confirm that Elliot Alderson's (Rami Malek) former girlfriend Shayla Nico (Frankie Shaw) will return in "Mr. Robot" season 2. But since the character was killed off in the first season, it could mean that the character will be part of several flashback scenes involving Elliot.

"Mr. Robot" season 2 premieres on Wednesday, July 13, on USA Network.
