The complicated love story between Andy (Adam DeVine) and Haley (Sarah Hyland) will be solved when "Modern Family" returns on ABC Family later this month for its seventh season.

The network released the official synopsis for the first episode titled "Summer Lovin'," which reads:

Haley's attempt to stop Andy from proposing to Beth will end up with both Haley and Andy needing to cope with their emotions and both will have their own special ways of doing so, and Phil and Claire seem to only make matters worse. Jay and Gloria look at pre-schools for Joe and get a rude awakening after they realize the competitive wait list to get in. Meanwhile, Cam tries to remain supportive of Mitch's midlife career crisis, but money is getting a little tight, so Cam comes up with a scheme to get Mitch's old job back."

At the end of season 6, Phil (Ty Burrell) realized that Haley and Andy have feelings for each other, which was why he decided to stop Andy from proposing to Beth. But in the trailer for the upcoming season 7 premiere, the Dunphy patriarch is seen discussing his observations of the two.

"Haley and Andy love each other and they don't even know it," Phil is heard saying in the trailer.

His wife Claire (Julie Bowen) wants to make sure that he is right. He quickly reassures her, saying that he knows "the look of love in another man's eye."

Also in this episode, Claire's father Jay Pritchett (Ed O'Neill) and his wife Gloria (Sofia Vergara) realize that finding a pre-school for their youngest son Joe is difficult because of his tendencies to hurt people. In the trailer, Joe is seen chasing a chicken. Gloria is heard telling the school's caretaker that she is willing to pay for the chicken.

Meanwhile, Cam (Eric Stonestreet) once again comes up with a devious scheme to help Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) get his job back. But as usual, Cam's plans backfire.

"Modern Family" season 7 is set to premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
