"Hawaii Five-0" is all set for a new episode this week, and according to reports, the upcoming episode will feature love.

Friday's episode, titled "Ua 'O'Oloku ke anu i na Mauna" or "The Chilling Storm is on the Mountains" will feature Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and Catherine Rollins' (Michelle Borth) relationship.

It was previously hinted by showrunner Peter Lenkov that season 6 will feature the Steve and Catherine love story.

TV Guide chatted with the showrunner and asked about how long Catherine will be staying in the show and what's her future with Steve will be like.

Lenkov then answered that viewers won't have to wait long to find out. In the interview, he even promised that by the third episode, Steve and Catherine's relationship will take a "surprise turn."

Lenkov is now fulfilling his promise as the official synopsis was already revealed. It stated that Steve will pop the big question to Catherine, as CarterMatt reported.

But the real question is, will Steve's love be reciprocated in the episode? It is speculated that the episode will not turn out well for Steve, considering "Hawaii Five-0" does not always show happy endings.

A report from Deadline support this speculation, revealing that Sarah Carter ("Falling Skies") will show up in the series as Lynn.

Lynn is described as a lover of nature and also an "avid explorer." Steve will take her to a remote island for their first date on the wild side. There, the two will face danger as they discover a criminal hideout.

With Carter's character returning to the show and revealed to go on a date with Steve, it only means that there's not a great future for Cath and Steve.

The story could still have a different take, but the hints given away by Lenkov would only mean that fans are predicting an unhappy ending and those who are rooting for Steve/Catherine tandem won't be happy if the two won't make it through.

"Hawaii Five-0" airs this Friday, Oct. 9, at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
