The latest action camera from GoPro Inc. — the GoPro Hero 5 — will allegedly be launched anytime this month. The company; however, has been keeping mum about its launch plans, which means that extreme sports enthusiast and adventurers will just have to wait for an official announcement.

As it stands, there is currently already a lot of information about the camera that has been leaked. If any of it turns out to be true, then the GoPro Hero 5 will likely be a game-changer in the action camera market.

Just a few weeks ago, alleged images of the camera had popped up online. The leaked images showed off the design and specs for the upcoming device. According to the leak, the camera will apparently be coming with built-in GPS capabilities as well as full waterproofing. It will essentially become the first camera from the company that will be fully submersible without the need of a waterproofing case.

The device is also rumored to be coming with full 4K resolution capabilities for both image capturing and video recording. The GoPro Hero 5 will also allegedly feature a touchscreen display, a 2800 mAh battery, and voice control which will be able to identify ten preprogrammed voice commands.

An uncovered PDF of the camera's user manual was also leaked just recently and reveals the camera's new cloud service feature called the "GoPro Plus." The cloud service will essentially allow users to directly upload their photos and videos into cloud servers, which can then be accessed at any time using other devices.

As for the device's release, the GoPro 5 was initially expected to be launched back in June, but the company apparently decided to delay the camera's release in order for them to launch it alongside their new drone, the Karma Drone. The Karma will be the company's first drone product and will fully be compatible with the GoPro Hero 5.
