"Boruto: Naruto the Movie 2" may not be out for a while, but fans may have an interesting part of the franchise's story to follow when it does indeed make its debut.

Specifically, the plot of the upcoming sequel may focus on Sarada Uchiha's goal to become a future Hokage.

In the first film, Sarada expresses her desire to become a future Hokage to Boruto, and in response, Naruto's son pledges to protect her should she ever attain the position, according to the Naruto Wikia.

With Sarada making known that she has a desire to become a future leader of their village, the next film may feature more of the challenges she faces as she attempts to claim that position.

In stark contrast to Sarada, Boruto has expressed that he has no desire to follow in his father's footsteps to become a future Hokage, effectively indicating that the position is for Sarada's to have should she decide that it is what she truly desires.

Instead of following in his father's footsteps, Boruto has indicated that he is more interested in becoming a shinobi who has more control over his life such as Sarada's father Sasuke.

The upcoming film could just as well feature Boruto's journey to becoming a shinobi as well.

"Boruto: Naruto the Movie 2" may also feature Orochimaru, a character best known for using any technique necessary in order to achieve immortality. Orochimaru made a brief appearance after the end credits of the first film, so it would not be surprising to see him have a bigger role in the sequel.

At this point though, it may still be too early to tell exactly what the next film will be about.

With "Naruto Shippuden: The True Legend of Itachi" expected to be the film from the franchise that hits theaters this year, the debut of the sequel is likely being delayed until 2017 at the earliest.

More news about "Boruto: Naruto the Movie 2" should be made available in the future.
