Xbox One Games with Gold July 2016 free games list changes this week

 Xbox Newswire

Since it is the middle of the month, the list of free games in the Games with Gold program of the Xbox One changes.

The current list, announced earlier this month, is again a mix of genres for the Xbox Games with Gold program. Two triple-A titles for the Xbox 360, "Rainbow Six Vegas 2" and "Tron Evolution," are part of long-standing franchises. Meanwhile, "Tumblestone" is a local multiplayer puzzle game with a number of game modes for both single- and multiplayer battles. For the hardcore RPG fan, "The Banner Saga 2" is an award-winning sequel, story-based role-playing title.

However, as with previous Games with Gold lists, the download schedules will change this weekend. Players will have until Friday this week to download "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2," since it is only available for the Xbox 360 from July 1 to 15. In addition, a title from last month's Games with Gold list, "The Crew," is also available for download until July 15.

Meanwhile, "Tumblestone" will be available for download on the Xbox One starting July 16, and can be added to the games library for free until August 15. Another triple-A title for the Xbox 360, "Tron Evolution," will also be added to the Games with Gold July 2016 list from July 16 to 31.

It should also be noted that both "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2" and "Tron Evolution" can also be downloaded for the Xbox One, since the two classic titles are playable on the current-gen console via the backwards compatibility program.

Since it is still the middle of the month, there are still no speculations on what Xbox plans to bring to the Games with Gold August 2016 list. However, it is expected that the list will be another mix of triple-A titles and classic games, with all games playable on the current-gen Microsoft console.
