Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Klitschko rematch happening in 2016! what to expect

Tyson Fury won by unanimous decision over Wladimir Klitschko in their highly anticipated boxing match last Saturday, but it seems that their contract included a rematch clause, which the former Ukrainian champion plans to pick up.

Although there is no official date on when such will happen, the only thing known for now is that the rematch will be held in 2016.

Fury has no qualms on the rematch, saying that he is ready for all takers — including Klitschko, who seemed a bit upset with the unanimous decision loss.

Considering that it was Klitschko's first loss since 2004, the length of time that he has reigned could be one reason. The Ukrainian lost the World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Organization (WBO), and International Boxing Federation (IBF) and (IBO) heavyweight titles and minor International Boxing Organization (IBO) belt to his Briton foe, but the 39-year-old boxer is not ready to call it quits just yet.

Klitschko will be turning 40 on March 25, 2016 and despite the budding age, it doesn't look like he is about to give up without one last hurrah.

Fury's triumph was seen by many as one of the biggest upsets in the division despite the impressive display. The Briton placed added pressure on his end, betting £200,000 on himself and vowing to retire if he would bow to Klitschko.

With a rematch expected in 2016, Fury could very well be favored on that one as well, mainly because of the age disparity. He is 12 years younger than Klitschko, although there have been a lot of boxing greats who have proven that they can still slug it out despite being over their prime.

Another thing to watch out for is what antics Fury could be pulling out heading toward the rematch. Fury admitted that his antics leading to their fight last Saturday were more about adding spice to their matchup, so it would be interesting to see what (and if) he will do anything with the belts now in his possession.
