Tom Cruise has been, for a long time, a popular face of Scientology. Now, various reports have stated that Cruise might be leaving the Scientology to be with his daughter Suri.

The "Mission Impossible" actor's decision to join the religion has been surrounded with rumors and controversies, including those that mentioned how the church is controlling Cruise's life.

Despite everything that the actor did for the religion, will he really be willing to leave the church just to develop a good relationship with his daughter with actress Katie Holmes?

Reports stated that Cruise has not seen the nine-year-old Suri for almost two years and it seems that he could continue on being absent in his daughter's life.

This absence is reportedly because of Scientology, according to Hollywoodlife.

A source for In Touch also revealed an instance when Cruise was just blocks away from his daughter in New York City, but he didn't even give her time. 

He was busy then promoting his latest movie, "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation," in the area but he didn't bother to go see Suri.

Media outlets also reported that ex-wife Holmes had nothing to do with it. Based on the circulating rumors, church leaders didn't want the actor to be seen with Suri in public because she didn't grow up with Scientology beliefs, as reported in Celeb Dirty Laundry.

It may have been reported that Cruise will finally put his daughter first before the church, but it appears to be not the case.

As reported in Charisma News, Scientology will launch its own TV network with help from Cruise. This only means that the actor had already invested on the network and the ties to the religion will still be there.

With all the reports circulating about Cruise leaving Scientology or not, one thing's certain: either way, his decision could have a great impact on his relationship with Suri.
